About the Role

The Valet Driver is responsible for handling guests and visitor vehicles, and providing high-caliber service in an efficient and friendly manner during guest arrivals, departures, and throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting all guests and co-workers with a smile and an appropriate hospitality greeting.
  • Anticipating guests needs and providing parking assistance upon arrival and departure of guest vehicles.
  • Promoting valet parking as the primary hotel parking option or directing guests to appropriate public parking.
  • Providing detailed parking fees and clear explanations of valet benefits.
  • Ensuring driveway and entrance are free from congestion by parking cars expediently.
  • Registering guest vehicles in the Valet Parking device with accurate information.
  • Completing a thorough vehicle walk-around prior to parking, noting any damage and reporting warning lights.
  • Ensuring all vehicle keys are clearly identified and stored securely.
  • Retrieving vehicles as requested by guests in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with opening and closing vehicle doors.
  • Assisting guests with loading luggage and providing directions upon departure.
  • Removing items from stored vehicles and performing other miscellaneous services as requested.
  • Providing information about hotel facilities, dining, local transportation, and attractions.
  • Assisting in fire alarms by fulfilling duties as outlined in the hotel fire response manual.
  • Ensuring guest and co-worker safety and security by reporting suspicious activity.
  • Adhering strictly to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations for Valet Parking.
  • Observing, reporting, or correcting deficiencies, malfunctions, and untidiness.
  • Reporting for duty with a professional appearance and dress.
  • Acknowledging all AccorLiveLimitless Members.

Requirements

  • Available for shift work including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize while multitasking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team oriented.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Service focused.
  • Professional manner and outgoing personality.
  • Valid Driver’s License with no infractions.
  • Ability to operate all types of vehicles (Manual and Automatic transmission).
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
  • Physical ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must provide accommodation needs during the application or recruitment process.

Skills

  • Property Manager knowledge is an asset.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge is an asset.
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge is an asset.
  • Valet Operating System experience is an asset.
  • Cash handling experience is an asset.
