About the Role
WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound examinations using various equipment, including MSK, Abdomen, Pelvic, Breast, and Thyroid.
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to scanning while maintaining confidentiality.
- Greet patients, explain the procedure, position them, and prepare them for examination.
- Observe patients during procedures, noting symptoms or vital sign changes, and summon medical aid if necessary.
- Perform all required quality control assessments.
- Work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
- Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance according to department standards.
- Ensure equipment and instruments perform efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare and organize reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Must have CMRTO certification.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
- Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
