About the Role

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres is seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound examinations using various equipment, including MSK, Abdomen, Pelvic, Breast, and Thyroid.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation prior to scanning while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Greet patients, explain the procedure, position them, and prepare them for examination.
  • Observe patients during procedures, noting symptoms or vital sign changes, and summon medical aid if necessary.
  • Perform all required quality control assessments.
  • Work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
  • Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance according to department standards.
  • Ensure equipment and instruments perform efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare and organize reports as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Must have CMRTO certification.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
