About the Role
Bloomsbury Publishing is seeking a Fall Marketing and Publicity Intern for its Special Interest team to assist in the publication and promotion of specialty nonfiction books. Interns will not be working with Sarah J. Maas titles nor YA/Children’s books.
Responsibilities
- Attending editorial meetings
- Completing publicity, influencer, and institutional research
- Drafting galley letters, press releases, and marketing materials
- Assisting the publicity department in media tracking and pitching
- Contributing content to our social media accounts
- Managing departmental shipping
- Providing administrative support to the marketing and publicity team
- Updating data systems as-needed
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong communication skills suitable for a fast-paced, professional environment
- Detail-oriented, able to manage their own time, and highly organized
- Demonstrable interest in learning about publicity and publishing
