About the Role

We use AI to accelerate, not replace, thinking. We design the system, steer the output, and take responsibility for what we ship. Fast where it makes sense. Careful where it matters. This role involves architecting performance for our high-volume Ad Server, written in C++.

Responsibilities

• Hunt for microseconds and optimize the hot path of our ad-serving engine.
• Ensure response times remain lightning-fast, even during peak traffic.
• Evolve our architecture on smartx to handle transactional scale.
• Tackle the CAP theorem in real-world distributed systems.
• Architect the use of NoSQL for fetching complex targeting data within latency budgets.
• Define C++ best practices for maintainable codebases that push hardware limits.

Requirements

• Understand how the compiler thinks.
• Leverage modern C++.
• Dominate memory layouts and cache hits.
• Make the Linux terminal your home.
• Use perf, gdb, valgrind, and strace as primary tools.
• Build distributed systems that operate on more than one server.
• Understand the pitfalls of distributed locks.
• Use HTTP, JSON, and XML as efficient wrappers for high-performance logic.
• Showcase a portfolio, side project, or demo repo demonstrating production-ready, thought-through code.
