About the Role

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices that connect internal and external systems.
• Handle technical leadership responsibilities when the Tech Lead is unavailable.
• Contribute to team strategy with strong opinions and experience.
• Manage authentication and authorization processes, including OAuth and Auth0 integrations.
• Design and optimize SQL databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend/API Developer using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design, particularly with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with ORMs.
• Strong skills in automated testing (jest/mocha, coverage).
• Mastery of Docker, Git, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Grafana, Prometheus, and Graylog is a plus.
• An academic background in Computer Science or Software Engineering is a plus.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
