About the Role

You will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams, bringing firmware perspective into decisions that shape the full stack. You’ll own what you build end-to-end, from first implementation to a working, well-understood system that the next engineer can confidently build on. Help raise the bar on code quality through thoughtful reviews, shared learnings, and building standards forward together with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Own firmware development end-to-end.
  • Contribute firmware perspective to full stack decisions.
  • Improve code quality through reviews and shared learnings.

Requirements

  • Shipped firmware that runs in the real world.
  • Experience preventing technical debt.
  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with STM32 architectures.
  • Experience building features from requirements through production.
  • Experience extending existing codebases without breaking functionality.
  • Proficiency with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Comfortable in both RTOS-based and bare-metal environments.
  • Experience debugging embedded systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Based in the Netherlands or able to relocate independently.
  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands without visa sponsorship.

Salary/Compensations

  • 51,000 - 69,000 EUR (including 8% holiday allowance)
