About the Role
As Commercial Partnerships Lead, you will own travel, commercial, and brand partnerships to grow opportunities with partners like tourist boards and Ubisoft. This role drives revenue, supports content production, and enhances the customer proposition. You will manage a small team and report to the Managing Director of History Hit & FAST.
Responsibilities
- Lead generation and qualifying incoming enquiries based on editorial demand.
- Oversee proposal and pricing, pitch deck creation, sales credentials, and collaborative idea generation.
- Direct commercial negotiations and close deals, working with the legal team during contracting.
- Work with production teams to ensure the execution of commercial campaign productions.
- Coordinate internal production teams and source external freelance talent to deliver agreed content within budget.
- Act as the primary partnership lead for high-value content partners, supported by the Partnership Exec.
- Act as the primary commercial lead for existing strategic monetisation partners, ensuring vetting of potential new partners.
- Identify, negotiate, and oversee major opportunities for cross-promotion, shared marketing initiatives, and barter-value partnerships.
- Implement structured post-campaign check-ins and performance reports, and conduct proactive outreach to past clients for repeat business.
Requirements
- Track record as a commercial lead working with digital video, video podcast, or publishers.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, from internal content teams to external network executives.
- Experience working with brands and partners, with experience in travel/tourism, events, or other History-adjacent sectors is beneficial.
- Strong experience working with production workflows and campaign management to ensure brand partnership delivery.
- Experience creating innovative yet simple commercial frameworks that deliver revenue, profit, and support strategic objectives.
- Proficient in closing contracts and working with legal and other teams.
- A self-starter who naturally spots opportunities, seasonal or market trends and turns them into sellable concepts.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
