Responsibilities
- Assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed site locations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors.
- Follow all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations.
- Connect personally with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donation.
- Ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and can be safely transfused.
- Work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work a 4x10 hours shift with rotating weekends.
- Receive schedule two to three weeks in advance.
Requirements
- Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
- Minimum of one year customer service experience in a public setting is required.
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
- Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Proficient with Microsoft office applications.
