About the Role
As a Platform Engineer, you will help engineering teams ship code faster, safely, and on reliable infrastructure. You will split your time between embedded work within domain squads to improve their systems and central platform work building shared tools, infrastructure, and automation for all developers. You will also be involved in rolling out AI tools across development, code reviews, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Create feature flags, canary rollouts, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and optimise AWS, GitHub, Datadog, and Cloudflare.
- Eliminate repetitive manual tasks for engineering teams, utilising AI tools where possible.
- Guide squads on managing their own apps using metrics, logs, and SLOs.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS & Terraform (specifically ECS Fargate, RDS, Lambda, or EventBridge).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and system monitoring (observability).
- Interest in using AI tools in daily software engineering.
- Comfortable working with application code in Ruby or Python.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous problems.
