About the Role

The Mayor’s Office of Appointments (MOA) is responsible for helping the Mayor identify and select candidates for senior-level roles and serve on vital boards and commissions. MOA provides talent recruitment support for the Administration, building a strategy for a diverse talent pipeline for senior leadership positions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling and logistics for interviews and selection meetings.
  • Draft briefing materials, reports, and communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the Appointments Director and broader team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently on projects with broadly defined goals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and maintain the security of confidential documentation.
  • Operational understanding of New York City agencies and the political environment, or willingness to learn.
