About the Role

This role involves managing the procurement process for construction services contracts, from initial request through contract award and registration, ensuring compliance with NYCHA's PPM and facilitating vendor outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Review submitted requests for procurements and identify appropriate procurement methods.
  • Complete and administer tasks related to the procurement of construction services contracts.
  • Review bid solicitation documents and coordinate with departments to ensure compliance.
  • Draft, finalize, and submit public procurement notices.
  • Administer and coordinate pre-bid conferences and vendor outreach.
  • Prepare and distribute public bid summaries.
  • Review vendor proposals to determine responsiveness based on solicitation requirements.
  • Conduct post-bid meetings to ensure selected vendors meet NYCHA's standards.
  • Review cost proposals to determine price reasonableness and establish recommendations for award.
  • Coordinate with selected vendors to address non-material corrections.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for award.
  • Prepare pending award documentations for final review and approval.
  • Complete contract registration tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain sourcing and awarding progress reports.

Requirements

  • For NYCHA employees: must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level (if applicable) for promotional, title or level change opportunities.
  • NYCHA residents are encouraged to apply.

Experience Level

  • 2 years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above (with a baccalaureate degree)
  • 6 years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above (with high school graduation or equivalent)
  • At least one year of experience as described in '1' above (equivalent education and/or experience)

Education Level

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • High school graduation or equivalent

Salary/Compensations

  • $70,000 to $80,000
  • USD 62868 - USD 72298
