About the Role
The Kings County District Attorney’s Office (KCDA) is seeking a Clerk for the Grand Jury Unit to assist with generating indictments, managing electronic filing, processing warrants, and maintaining records.
Responsibilities
- Generate Grand Jury numbers, Supreme Court Information (SCI) numbers, multi-docketed numbers, superseding indictments, and re-submissions.
- Ensure all indictments are filed utilizing the Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS).
- Handle incoming email inquiries and interface with court personnel and the public regarding requests.
- Process all warrants and ensure notifications are made to appropriate parties.
- Coordinate X-indictments processes with appropriate parties.
- Maintain a filing system for all Grand Jury matters.
- Prepare transmittals for all cases being sent to assigned bureaus.
- Routinely follow up on all pending unfiled indictments and foreperson’s signatures.
- Perform related tasks when necessary.
