About the Role

The Human Resources Division is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Staff Analyst (NM-3) to oversee auditing of timekeeping and leave of absence transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of employee data across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the timely and accurate resolution of audit findings.
  • Process system updates.
  • Address employee inquiries in accordance with applicable laws, rules, policies, and departmental standards.
  • Review and implement DP-2001 submissions.
  • Process manual leave adjustment transactions in City Time according to guidelines.
  • Generate and analyze system reports in CHRMS, NYCAPS, and other applicable systems to support auditing and reconciliation.
  • Research and resolve time and leave discrepancies.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and policies.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as necessary to support operations.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management; or a related area.
  • 18 months of experience must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity, including supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above.
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described above, including 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience.
