About the Role

As an IT Lead, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of our entire IT landscape. You will ensure that our systems are stable, secure, and future-proof, and continuously develop them. You will combine technical expertise with structured work and entrepreneurial thinking. You will make well-founded decisions, coordinate across locations, and ensure that our IT is optimally aligned with the requirements of a growing international company.

Responsibilities

Operation, administration, and continuous development of our server landscape (on-premise and cloud) and ensuring availability, performance, and data security.
Management and optimization of central services such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365, as well as administration of modern cloud and SaaS solutions.
Support and further development of the network infrastructure at all locations, including firewall, VPN, and security concepts, as well as implementation of IT policies and access concepts.
Planning and introduction of new systems, tools, and processes with a focus on sustainable integration and added value for the organization.
Responsibility for IT budget, license management, and procurement, as well as evaluation and selection of new technologies and solutions.
Coordination of external IT service providers and technology partners, as well as close collaboration with internal teams.
Maintenance and further development of IT documentation, processes, security concepts, and emergency plans.
Ensuring smooth IT operations at the Aachen, Berlin, and Cologne locations, and potentially other international locations.

Requirements

Completed vocational training or a degree in IT, or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
Several years of experience in administering Microsoft infrastructures (AD, Entra ID, Exchange, M365).
Sound knowledge of network technologies, IT security, and firewall administration.
Experience with cloud infrastructures and modern SaaS environments.
Experience in IT project management and budget responsibility.
Structured, strategic, and independent decision-making.
Clear communication and ability to manage multiple parallel topics.
Willingness to occasionally visit other company locations.
Very good German and English language skills.
