About the Role
Join our Tax & Legal division as a Consultant Indirect Tax Technology. You will support national and international clients in digitizing and automating VAT processes and develop data-driven solutions for tax issues.
Responsibilities
- Support national and international clients in digitizing and automating VAT processes.
- Develop data-driven solutions for tax issues.
- Analyze business and transaction data from ERP systems.
- Evaluate purchasing, sales, and financial processes.
- Identify tax risks and derive concrete recommendations for action.
- Develop and optimize analysis approaches with Python and other tools.
- Make processes related to VAT, e-invoicing, and e-reporting more efficient.
- Work on the connection between VAT, data analysis, and technology.
- Translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Advise clients on all issues of VAT, customs, excise duties, market regulation, and foreign trade law.
- Help clients map their VAT processes to avoid financial risks, from VAT pre-declarations and objection proceedings to the use of digital tools.
Requirements
- Completed studies in economics, business informatics, data science, mathematics, computer science, or a comparable field.
- Initial experience in data analysis gained through internships, working student positions, project work, or professional experience.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Structured approach to complex issues.
- Ability to present data-based results understandably to clients and colleagues.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
