About the Role

The Financial Data Application Specialist role at AlphaSense is a new, strategic position at the intersection of sales, customer success, and technical implementation for AlphaSense’s financial data products. This role requires entrepreneurial individuals to optimize go-to-market and product strategies based on client feedback, build relationships with prospects and clients, demonstrate product value, and drive adoption. Specialists will also partner with sales, product, marketing, and leadership teams to inform future product developments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales in demos and strategic trials of AlphaSense’s financial data solutions.
  • Conduct trial training calls, overcoming common objections and communicating the value proposition.
  • Provide advanced training, customizations, and product consultations to users.
  • Drive adoption by building custom templates or bespoke modeling tools for customers.
  • Develop expertise in quantitative analysis for investment and valuation decisions.
  • Package use cases for utilization by sales and account management through various content formats.
  • Field feedback and identify product opportunities, relaying information across the organization.
  • Act as an escalation point for product and support teams on complex customer scenarios, particularly with Excel Add-ins.
  • Manage and resolve challenges related to integrating modeling solutions into client workflows.

  • Finance background with a desire for client-facing engagement with senior buyside professionals.
  • Commitment to becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for financial data across industries, personas, and verticals.
  • Passion for technology and capital markets.
  • Excellent 360-degree communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to distill and explain complex issues in simple terms.
  • Genuine interest in learning how AlphaSense tools contribute to client processes and identifying solutions for client needs.
  • Intrinsically motivated with the ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Independent problem-solver, making multiple efforts to solve problems before escalating.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and adaptable to drive customer happiness.
  • Familiarity with the institutional investor landscape, financial markets, and investment research.
  • Strong Excel abilities.
  • Experience with VBA in Excel workbooks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with high-profile fund managers and junior analysts.
