About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Team Lead for Finance and Accounting (m/f/d) for our Berlin office, who will enrich our team with leadership strength and strategic foresight. You will take on the professional and disciplinary leadership of the team and set the course for efficient financial management with your expertise.
Responsibilities
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of the team
- Preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budget and financial plans, as well as responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB
- Organization and participation in budget and cost planning
- Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and timely preparation of tax and financial reports
- Ensuring smooth operation in financial accounting (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, and dunning)
- Supporting international subsidiaries in all financial and accounting matters
- Liaising with external partners such as auditors, tax advisors, banks, and authorities, as well as with the companies in our group
- Reporting to and advising the CFO
- Further development, optimization, and digitalization of processes in accounting and administration, as well as ensuring efficient operations
- Responsibility for the integration and onboarding of new employees and conducting annual performance reviews
- Leading internal projects
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or Controlling, or a comparable training or qualification
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with initial leadership experience
- Very good knowledge of HGB, tax law, and common ERP systems
- Experience with the digitalization of financial processes is an advantage
- Affinity for numbers combined with strategic foresight and a structured way of working
- Demonstrable ability to lead and motivate teams, as well as strong communication and decision-making skills
- Good conceptual and analytical skills, 'hands-on' mentality, solution-oriented thinking and action, independent and very precise way of working, as well as resilience and a friendly demeanor
