About the Role

Inspire learning, build confidence, and change children’s lives by providing expert tuition and innovative learning tools. Tutors act as coaches and mentors, supporting each learner’s progress with care and purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored sessions using the Compass learning tool, facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children in a 1:6 ratio, creating a safe and inspiring environment.
  • Support members with national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating their progress.
  • Lead sessions with small groups, inspiring children and using positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Prioritize children's safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Must be age 16 or over.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Must have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Predicted GCSE grades are accepted if results will be received within the next 3 months.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required.
  • Must provide a full employment history with all gaps clearly explained and evidenced.
  • Any omission, inconsistency, or misleading information may result in application rejection, offer withdrawal, or dismissal.

  • Under 18: £8.40 per hour
  • 18-20: £10.90 per hour
  • 21+: £12.75 per hour
  • Additional 50p per hour for working within the M25
