About the Role
Our Hotel Services team plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the hospital, ensuring that all patient rooms, clinical areas and shared spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation. Working behind the scenes and on the front line, the team helps create a welcoming, calm and hygienic environment where patients can focus on their recovery and visitors feel reassured from the moment they arrive. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll be a key contributor to the overall patient experience, supporting both care delivery and hospital operations through your attention to detail and commitment to excellence. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where your work is immediately visible and genuinely valued, offering the opportunity to make a difference every single day.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning patient rooms, public areas and staff spaces, ensuring every area is safe, tidy and presentable.
- Working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support the smooth running of the hospital.
- Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
- Being comfortable working in a hospital environment and coming into contact with patients.
- Ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy for visitors.
- Performing any tasks specifically assigned.
- Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
- Attending mandatory training on an annual basis.
Requirements
