About the Role
Join our Youth Justice Service to coordinate Referral Orders and restorative justice processes, supporting young people, victims, and communities. This role involves recruiting and training volunteers, organizing Youth Offender Panels, and developing community-based reparation opportunities to promote rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of Referral Orders and restorative justice processes.
- Support young people to take responsibility for their actions and make meaningful amends.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Organize Youth Offender Panels.
- Develop community-based reparation opportunities.
- Work closely with partners, victims, and volunteers to promote rehabilitation, reduce reoffending, and strengthen community involvement.
Requirements
- A recognised professional qualification relating to youth work, youth justice, social work, probation, police or health.
- Demonstrate experience of working with children and families in a youth justice service setting.
- A standard of literacy, numeracy and communication skills, at least equivalent to 2 A-levels A*– C grades.
- Knowledge of the legislation, guidance, government policy and research governing the work of the Youth Justice Service and in particular that which relates to the administration of the Referral Order process.
