About the Role
Altagram is seeking freelance translators and proofreaders for English US to Romanian, specializing in game localization. You will work on in-game text, marketing content, subtitling, and linguistic quality evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread in-game text, including dialogue, quests, item descriptions, tutorials, UI, and menus.
- Localize marketing and store content such as Steam pages, trailers, social posts, and ad copy.
- Perform subtitling for cutscenes, trailers, and promotional videos.
- Conduct linguistic quality evaluation (LQA).
- Perform culturalization analysis.
- Engage in Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for selected projects.
Requirements
- Native-level Romanian and excellent command of English US.
- Demonstrated experience localizing video games.
- Proficient in memoQ.
- Familiar with Plunet TMS.
- Willingness to complete two short unpaid test pieces for translation and proofreading.
