About the Role

We are looking for a Sessional Tutor Art & Design to join our team. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Art & Design, who can contribute to the delivery of foundation-level modules. Experience teaching Creative Practice, Portfolio, and Visual Culture is highly desirable. The ability to support students from diverse educational backgrounds and engage learners through effective, student-centred teaching will be highly valued. As a Sessional Tutor at Kaplan International College London, you will join our successful team and provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. Responsibilities

  • Provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
  • Plan, facilitate and review engaging learning experiences that enable all students to achieve and flourish.
  • Develop and continually enhance innovative learning materials that support active, inclusive and engaging learning.

Requirements

  • Experience of teaching post-16 students.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of international students in transition to studying Higher Education in the UK.
  • Demonstrable experience of using digital technologies, including AI, to enhance learning, assessment and student engagement, together with a willingness to embrace innovation.
  • A postgraduate qualification is desirable; however, a strong first degree and/or relevant professional experience will also be considered.
  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (including children’s barred list) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • For roles that include teaching or coaching, a Prohibition from Teaching Check will be completed through the Teaching Regulation Agency.
