About the Role

Join our team as a Software Engineer, Data Platforms. You will design and build the engines that process, transform, and refine terabytes of TV and advertising data daily, ensuring our data platform is scalable, resilient, and cutting-edge.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions for Big Data applications in an agile, high-performance environment.
• Continuously develop and refine data aggregation pipelines (TV data, advertising, and forecasting) primarily based on Spark and Scala.
• Host, manage, and scale solutions using Docker and Kubernetes within the AWS cloud.
• Lead the way in test automation, from unit tests to complex integration tests, embracing Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Evaluate new frameworks and tools, share findings, and help the team stay at the forefront of Big Data technology.

Requirements

• Solid track record in software engineering, with a strong focus on JVM languages (Scala/Java) and/or Python.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or similar distributed systems.
• Comfortable with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• A quality mindset valuing efficiency, clean architecture, and pragmatic solutions.
• Fluency in German and English.
• A "let's figure it out" attitude and a hands-on mentality.
• A portfolio, side project, or demo repo demonstrating shipped, production-ready code.
