Responsibilities
- Perform monthly payroll processing for multiple companies using DATEV LODAS, from preparation to post-processing.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including special payments, allowances, bonuses, and optimal wage calculation.
- Maintain and manage all personnel master data, processing new hires, terminations, contract changes, multiple employments, and other payroll-relevant changes.
- Act as the point of contact for authorities, health insurance providers, and social security institutions, handling all payroll tax and social security reporting and applications.
- Manage, monitor, and analyze working time accounts, and assist employees with queries regarding the time tracking system.
- Ensure current and efficient payroll processes and maintain the systems used (e.g., DATEV LODAS, time tracking, E2N, Planex, and SV-Net).
- Continuously optimize and standardize payroll processes, and develop checklists and process standards.
- Manage complete, audit-proof personnel file maintenance and structured digital document storage and archiving.
- Collaborate closely with financial accounting, particularly in clarifying payroll accounts and resolving payroll-related issues.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further training in payroll, HR, or payroll accounting, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in independent payroll processing and knowledge of relevant payroll processes.
- Proficient use of payroll software, ideally DATEV LODAS.
- Sound knowledge of payroll tax, social security, and labor law, applied effectively in practice.
- Experience with time tracking systems (e.g., E2N & Planex) and Google Workspace is ideal.
- Structured, meticulous, and reliable work approach, maintaining an overview even with fixed payroll deadlines.
- Process-oriented thinking, identifying optimization potential, and enjoying continuous process improvement.
- Service-oriented and confident communication with employees, authorities, health insurance providers, and internal contacts.
- Excellent written and spoken German language skills.
