About the Role
Altagram is expanding its network of freelance translators and proofreaders for Japanese into Chinese Simplified, localizing games across every genre with linguists who play the games they work on.
Responsibilities
- Translate and proofread in-game text, including dialogue, quests, item descriptions, tutorials, UI, and menus.
- Localize marketing and store content such as Steam pages, trailers, social posts, and ad copy.
- Perform subtitling for cutscenes, trailers, and promotional videos.
- Conduct linguistic quality evaluation (LQA).
- Perform culturalization analysis.
- Engage in Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on selected projects.
Requirements
- Native-level Chinese Simplified and excellent command of Japanese.
- Demonstrated experience localizing video games.
- Proficient in memoQ.
- Familiar with Plunet TMS.
