About the Role
The Senior Partner Sales Manager will drive revenue growth through strategic partners in Japan, owning a portfolio of partner accounts and executing go-to-market plans to generate pipeline, expand opportunities, and accelerate Genesys Cloud adoption. This role requires strong commercial discipline, executive-level partner engagement, and the ability to influence sales motions through partners, acting as a trusted advisor to help partners build a profitable Genesys practice.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a defined set of strategic partner accounts in Japan, achieving annual revenue and pipeline targets.
- Develop and execute partner-specific business plans, including joint pipeline creation, account mapping, sales campaigns, enablement, and executive engagement.
- Drive partner-led and partner-influenced opportunities across new logo acquisition, expansion, cross-sell, and upsell motions.
- Establish a disciplined sales cadence with partners, including regular pipeline reviews, opportunity progression, forecast alignment, and action tracking.
- Work closely with Genesys sales teams to ensure clear alignment on account ownership, opportunity strategy, and partner engagement models.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across partner organizations.
- Articulate the Genesys Cloud value proposition, including AI, digital, automation, and experience orchestration capabilities.
- Help partners identify market opportunities, develop differentiated offerings, and position Genesys solutions effectively.
- Represent Genesys professionally in partner meetings, customer discussions, business reviews, and industry activities.
- Support the development of partner capabilities, including sales readiness, solution knowledge, certifications, and program adoption.
- Encourage partners to build scalable Genesys Cloud practices for sustainable growth and profitability.
- Leverage Genesys partner programs, incentives, campaigns, and promotions to accelerate partner engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver enablement activities that improve partner confidence, solution positioning, and competitive differentiation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, partner sales, alliance management, or business development within the IT, cloud, SaaS, CX, contact center, or related technology industry.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and pipeline targets through partner-led or indirect sales motions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology sales cycles, including complex stakeholder management and value-based selling.
- Experience working with system integrators, resellers, technology partners, or large enterprise partners in Japan.
- Ability to develop and execute structured partner business plans that translate strategy into measurable sales outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of SaaS business models, partner profitability, recurring revenue, and cloud transformation.
- Ability to communicate the value of cloud, AI, digital, and customer experience technologies to both business and technical audiences.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence senior partner stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.
- Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and sales cadence discipline.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, high accountability, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Experience using CRM and sales productivity tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape across cloud, SaaS, contact center, CCaaS, CRM, AI, and digital customer engagement is preferred.
- Strategic thinker who can also execute with discipline and urgency.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed global organization.
- Able to balance partner advocacy with Genesys’ commercial priorities.

- Strong executive presence and the ability to lead business discussions with confidence.
