About the Role
We are seeking a People Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, ideally suited for a candidate in a People Advisor position or seeking career progression. This role supports the Media & Entertainment division, working with People Business Partners to implement strategic people plans and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Act as a critical friend and trusted advisor to leaders and managers, providing guidance on ITV policies, processes, and D&I initiatives.
- Guide line managers through everyday HR situations, including capability, performance management, probation management, grievances, and smart/flexible working.
- Manage health and wellbeing processes, including sickness absence, stress risk assessments, and Occupational Health referrals.
- Support change and organisational design initiatives, assisting with restructures and advocating for business change.
- Ensure policy compliance and risk management by identifying operational risks, overseeing compliance frameworks, and staying updated on legal/statutory requirements.
- Take accountability for People data within business areas, using insights to drive informed business decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Operations, Services, and Centres of Excellence to deliver efficient service and improve HR toolkits and processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable HR generalist experience, preferably within a fast-paced, high-profile organisation.
- Proven experience identifying and resolving employee relations risks and issues.
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, trust, and influence across all levels.
- Action-oriented, resilient, and conscientious.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions within scope, and manage competing priorities.
Skills
- Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification is desirable, or demonstrable evidence of strong HR technical capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge managers, translate complex initiatives into clear messaging, and adapt style.
- Solid numerical skills.
- Proficiency across Google Suite/MS Office.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion HR information systems is highly advantageous.
- Commercial curiosity about the broader business.
- Proactive 'can-do' approach.
- Comfort operating with a high degree of ambiguity.
- Genuine passion for people's personal development, growth, and continuous process improvement.
