About the Role

The F&B Operations Coordinator role reports directly to the Director of F&B Operations and is an extraordinary opportunity to provide high level efficient, confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the overall Food & Beverage operation at The Star Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including correspondence management, email and telephone screening, document preparation, record maintenance, courier coordination, and general office administration
  • Coordinate the preparation, distribution, and administration of documentation and logistics for management meetings and key business activities
  • Manage stakeholder enquiries and complaints with professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion, escalating issues and providing regular feedback to the relevant management teams
  • Prepare confidential presentations, reports, and business documentation, including the collection, analysis, and reporting of operational data for key stakeholders
  • Support Food & Beverage promotional activities by maintaining business plans, coordinating event and promotion execution, and providing post-event performance and profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with the POS team to manage promotional system data, analyse sales and GP performance, and provide recommendations on pricing strategies and operational improvements
  • Coordinate Food & Beverage menu updates, ensuring accurate and timely communication of product and pricing changes to Marketing for publication across websites and digital platforms
  • Monitor inventory management processes, including stocktake coordination, discrepancy follow-up, stock holding analysis, and recommendations to optimise inventory levels, while also arranging travel, room bookings, purchase requisitions, and capital requests as required

Requirements

  • Diploma qualification or equivalent relevant experience in an administrative, corporate, or commercial environment
  • High-level administrative and executive support experience including meeting coordination, committee support, minute taking, and documentation management
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build effective working relationships, foster teamwork, and maintain stakeholder trust
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver quality outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, analyse, and present information and data in a meaningful and actionable manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business systems such as Oracle/ERP, with a strong level of technical and professional knowledge
  • Demonstrated initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and commitment to driving excellence, continuous improvement, and achieving business objectives
  • Highly organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting busy operational teams
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems
  • Confident coordinating key activities, reporting on data, and building effective relationships across the business
  • Eligibility checks are required as part of the recruitment process and ongoing employment for this position
