About the Role

The EY Employment Law team advises leading organisations on complex labour and employment law matters across Australia and internationally. This role presents an outstanding opportunity to build deep expertise in workforce advisory work including compliance. You will work directly with clients and partners, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across EY and leverage innovative legal technology and AI-enabled solutions to help deliver market-leading outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients on a broad range of employment and industrial relations matters while developing your employment law expertise.
  • Review and interpret modern awards, enterprise agreements and workplace legislation as part of wage and entitlement compliance projects.
  • Assist with employment law and industrial relations advice across a range of workplace issues, including workforce flexibility, workplace change and employment obligations.
  • Support enterprise bargaining projects, including enterprise agreement strategy, drafting EAs and BOOT analysis.
  • Assist on employment law aspects of business restructures, transactions, workforce transformation projects and employment-related due diligence activities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ PQE in employment law.
  • A can do attitude.
  • Experience interpreting modern awards, enterprise agreements and workplace legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in technically complex compliance work.
  • An interest in legal technology, data-enabled solutions and innovative approaches to legal service delivery.

Salary/Compensations

  • Competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
