About the Role
As a member of the Leadership team at St Annes/ St Joseph Hunters Hill, you will be managing the smooth operation of the home’s commercial kitchen and dining service, enabling our residents to enjoy a variety of fresh, nutritious meals on a daily basis. The dining experience for our residents is really important, meals needs to be creatively presented and tasty.
Responsibilities
- Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs
- Managing all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget
- Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards
Requirements
- A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience leading a team
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
- Ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
Skills
- Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Basic Food safety Practices Certificate
- Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
- An understanding of modified diets
