About the Role

University Settlement partners with over 40,000 New Yorkers annually to foster healthy, stable, and remarkable lives. Responsibilities

• Create and lead engaging activities for up to 20 youth, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Design and implement lesson plans for multidisciplinary activities, incorporating student feedback.
• Provide academic assistance during homework periods.
• Plan and involve children in a range of multidisciplinary activities.
• Serve as a positive role model and uphold professional behavior.
• Work constructively with colleagues and communicate regularly with supervisory staff.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
• Maintain responsibility for program supplies and facility use.
• Complete all necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HSE required.
• Current enrollment in college is a plus.
• Experience working with middle and high school populations.
• Ability to commit for the entire school year.
• Must be over 18 years old.
• Highly energetic, dynamic, and positive demeanor.
