About the Role

Lead one of BT's core Release Trains, shaping the future of digital and customer experience capabilities. You will be accountable for the strategy, performance, and evolution of digital assets, including Panorama Desktop and Mobile App, public digital experiences, onboarding and identity capabilities, and supporting data and analytics platforms. Drive customer, commercial, strategic, and risk outcomes across acquisition, activation, and digital journeys, ensuring evidence-based, value-driven prioritization and investment decisions aligned with needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver customer, adviser, and business outcomes aligned to BT strategy and risk obligations.
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of BT's digital, onboarding, and data platforms.
  • Lead the evolution of acquisition, activation, and digital experiences, driving customer-centred outcomes.
  • Set design direction and ensure alignment with enterprise standards, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead Release Train prioritization and investment decisions, balancing customer, commercial, technology, and risk outcomes.
  • Maintain a clear roadmap linked to measurable business and customer outcomes.
  • Drive value realization through OKRs, benefits tracking, and outcome-focused delivery.
  • Embed risk, governance, and compliance requirements into product decisions and delivery.
  • Foster a strong risk culture and effective management of controls, issues, and obligations.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across BT and Westpac Group on priorities, roadmap decisions, and strategic outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Technology, Distribution, Operations, Risk, and Finance.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and develop talent while driving engagement, accountability, and performance.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading product, digital, platform, or customer journey functions within financial services or similarly complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and customer outcomes at scale.
  • Strong understanding of digital customer experiences, onboarding, identity and access management, mobile platforms, customer communications, and self-service capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Delivery, Operations, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience balancing customer, commercial, operational, and risk outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability, including experience engaging with Executive stakeholders, Boards, and Regulators.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Experience operating in agile, product-led, and large-scale transformation environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline.
  • RG146 qualification desirable but not essential.
