About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to join our North Sydney office. This on-site role will contribute to a positive office culture and efficient operations by managing office administration, facilities, and people.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, managing reception and incoming calls.
- Oversee general office management, including facility maintenance and equipment repair.
- Maintain the tidiness of common areas and meeting rooms, and ensure IT assets are functional.
- Coordinate internal and external deliveries and mail services.
- Facilitate new employee onboarding, including WHS induction and security passes.
- Serve as Health & Safety Lead during emergencies, liaising with the crisis management team.
- Support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, including carbon data collection.
- Assist with vehicle fleet administration duties.
- Organize and manage internal social events within budget.
- Support the coordination of external corporate functions and events.
- Manage office expenses within the approved budget.
- Assist with expense claims and company credit card reconciliation.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within the professional services industry is ideal.
- Commitment to being present at the North Sydney office 5 days a week.
- Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment.
- Polished personal presentation with a polite, respectful, and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively in a busy team environment with minimal supervision.
