About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for two of our portfolios. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your payroll career within a growing team, gain exposure to a dynamic office environment, and play an important role in delivering a seamless payroll experience for our team members.

Responsibilities

  • Complete end-to-end payroll processing for two portfolios, supporting approximately 1,400 employees within the required timeframe.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll platform issues to maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain and manage timesheet data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet data with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute employment contracts.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end payroll tax submissions.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims, payments, and reimbursements.
  • Assist with the upload of monthly superannuation contributions.
  • Assist in completing year-end payroll tasks, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Manage staff onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with managers and colleagues.
  • Monitor and track changes in employee status, movements, and other relevant details.
  • Calculate and investigate backpays, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance on payroll and award-related questions to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including third-party payroll vendors and child support agents.
  • Interpret awards and relevant legislation to ensure precise payroll calculations.
  • File and archive payroll information.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the payroll manager.
