About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for two of our portfolios. Responsibilities
- Complete end-to-end payroll processing for two portfolios, supporting approximately 1,400 employees within the required timeframe.
- Investigate and resolve payroll platform issues to maintain data integrity.
- Maintain and manage timesheet data for accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet data with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute employment contracts.
- Assist with monthly and year-end payroll tax submissions.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims, payments, and reimbursements.
- Assist with the upload of monthly superannuation contributions.
- Assist in completing year-end payroll tasks, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Manage staff onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with managers and colleagues.
- Monitor and track changes in employee status, movements, and other relevant details.
- Calculate and investigate backpays, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance on payroll and award-related questions to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including third-party payroll vendors and child support agents.
- Interpret awards and relevant legislation to ensure precise payroll calculations.
- File and archive payroll information.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required by the payroll manager.
