About the Role

Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms: sanitize, stock supplies, and ensure medications/vaccines are ready for the day
- Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care (mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, etc.)
- Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow to maximize efficiency
- Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, medications, and current concerns
- Assist with procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testing
- Collect and process lab specimens; track and document results
- Perform quality control on equipment and testing materials
- Help at the front desk when needed — greeting patients, answering phones, verifying insurance
- Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure the best patient outcomes
Requirements
- High School diploma and/or GED
- Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program is required
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
- BCLS certification (in-person training only, American Heart Association)
- Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic technique
- A team-first attitude and commitment to providing respectful, quality care
- MUST have a Medical Assistant diploma and/or Certification.
