About the Role

The Administration Billing Associate is responsible for identifying, researching, rectifying, and maintaining accurate balances.

Responsibilities

  • Face-sheet and census entry for accurate billing.
  • Verifying primary and secondary insurance coverage on residents.
  • Providing customer service and problem resolution to facilities and residents.
  • Account reconciliation and account refund requests.
  • Complex account reconciliation.
  • Account adjustments and bad debt processing.
  • Third party, Medicare, Managed Care, and private billing, claim corrections and follow-up.
  • Tracking and re-billing pending Medicaid accounts.
  • Re-billing claims as needed.
  • Identifying pattern problems and initiating corrective action plans.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work performed on an account.
  • Recognizing and rectifying errors within an account.
  • Setting up Lawson accounts for facility and private pay.
  • Month-end closing process.
  • Re-billing claims to improve reimbursement from NETRX reporting.
  • Assisting in special projects as required.
  • Working with minimal supervision.
  • Assisting in orienting and training new employees.
  • Completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Being available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician (Vermont Employees only).

Experience Level

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable Department or Collections preferred, but not required.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree or Higher in Accounting or related field (Preferred)

Salary/Compensations

  • $18.00-22.00 an hour
