About the Role
The Director, Business Development Officer originates transactions for Capital Equipment Finance and Sixty-First Commercial Finance. This role involves working with Institutional Capital Markets and Syndication teams, leasing companies, and C-suite executives across a national footprint.
Responsibilities
- Originate indirectly transactions of $3MM to $100MM for CEF's own account (80%) and Sixty-First Commercial Finance (20%).
- Cross-sell other First Citizens bank products through internal referrals.
- Interface with Institutional Capital Markets and Syndications teams, second-tier leasing companies, and C-suite executives.
- Solicit and originate transactions across various equipment types and industries, including construction, manufacturing, automotive, energy, transportation, chemicals, and plastics.
- Act as a deal advocate, utilizing strong credit skills to facilitate transactions through closing with the underwriting team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in direct and indirect origination of transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM, OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in direct and indirect origination of transactions ranging from $3MM to $100MM.
- BA in Business or Economics (Preferred).
- Understanding of all market deal structures.
- Experience in indirect origination of equipment finance and leasing transactions for companies with revenues greater than $75 million.
- Strong sales and credit skills.
- Experience originating transactions of $3MM to $100MM for direct and indirect transactions and syndication experience.
- Experience cross-selling multiple products.
- Experience working directly with C-suite executives, Institutional Capital Markets teams, and second-tier leasing companies.
