About the Role

As a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Validation Engineer in AMD’s Strategic Silicon Solutions group, you will ensure custom silicon products for advanced gaming platforms meet power and performance targets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans, execute studies, and analyze data to validate product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans in collaboration with architects, firmware, and IP-specific engineering teams to ensure products meet or exceed performance targets.
• Work with architects and the business team to support current and potential future products.
• Execute power and performance studies to support business development.
• Validate and tune product features post-silicon.
• Set up and debug systems under test.

Requirements

• Experience in power or performance attainment of features of CPU, GPU, or APUs.
• Thrive in a matrixed environment spanning multiple countries and time zones.
• Experience validating power or performance features of CPUs, GPUs, or APUs.
• Familiarity with graphics, core, and gaming-focused workloads.
• Familiarity with the use of data acquisition and thermal equipment.
• Experience analyzing and presenting data using Power BI, Sigma, or similar.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multi-site technical organization.

Education Level

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
