About the Role

Exa is seeking a Developer Advocate to build and showcase real-world applications using their API, inspiring other developers to do the same. This role involves creating reference apps, demos, and integrations, and presenting them through various channels like talks, streams, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, and retrieval, coupled with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Build demos and reference applications showcasing Exa's API.
Deliver technical talks and workshops in-person and online.
Engage in public forums to support and unblock developers.
Develop and maintain integrations with relevant developer tools and frameworks.
Provide specific developer feedback to Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a software engineer, developer advocate, or a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to build with LLMs, agents, and retrieval.
Publicly available artifacts such as code repositories, talks, streams, or tutorials.
Strong live communication skills for technical presentations.
Genuine enthusiasm for assisting other developers.
Comfort working in public and receiving technical criticism.
Daily use of AI tooling and opinions on its limitations.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a diverse audience.
