About the Role
As a Senior Solicitor, Legal Officer Grade IV, you will be responsible for the conduct of assigned legal matters involving legal advice and statutory interpretation, dispute resolution and litigation and/or advocacy within a specialist legal practice group. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of challenging, varied, interesting and often high-profile advice and litigation matters representing NSW government agencies in a broad range of courts and tribunals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assigned legal matters involving legal advice and statutory interpretation.
- Handle dispute resolution, litigation, and/or advocacy within a specialist legal practice group.
- Represent NSW government agencies in various courts and tribunals.
- Work on matters related to administrative and constitutional law, child law, civil liability, commercial law and dispute resolution, criminal law, employment and industrial relations, information law, inquests and special inquiries, property and native title.
Requirements
- Developed legal skills and experience enabling provision of advice and representation in legal matters within the Crown Solicitor's specializations.
- Admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
- Experience preparing legal documents.
- Experience providing legal advice.
- Experience undertaking litigation work.

- $148,380 to $151,236 p.a. base salary
