About the Role

Under general supervision, controls the receiving and issuing of equipment and supplies for the Sheriff’s Office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of equipment, supplies and uniforms
  • Supervise employees assigned to the Quartermaster's office
  • Assist the Office Manager with obtaining bids for uniforms and other equipment
  • Prepare resolutions for the disposal or transfer of equipment no longer usable
  • Maintain database for equipment and uniforms issued to employees
  • Issue ribbons and awards
  • Maintain all stored equipment in good working order
  • Maintain databases and hard files on all equipment issued to employees
  • Issue medical supplies for medic kits maintained in patrol vehicles
  • Assign SA&I numbers to new equipment purchased and enter the information into the Mainframe for inventory
  • Assist with any other requests from supervisors
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Able to work weekends, all shifts, and holidays

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), associate’s degree (A.A.) or 60 hours from an accredited college or university as dictated in TCSO policy
  • 5 years of experience in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; and taste or smell
  • Occasionally required to sit; run; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds to more than 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
