About the Role
Challenge yourself to develop insights and recommendations for the Qantas Group Leadership Team and Board of Directors by delivering impactful analysis. Define the strategic direction of Qantas Group, including Qantas Airways, Jetstar Group, and Qantas Loyalty. This permanent position is based at the Qantas Group head office in Mascot. In our dynamic environment, strategy must continually evolve to stay ahead of the curve and ensure we create value for our customers, employees, and shareholders. The Group Strategy team drives competitive advantage through responding to change and uncertainty to maintain our leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Drive key modules on Group strategy projects under the direction of a manager in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Own and drive complex, detailed analysis and recommendations development on topics that are unique in nature and have high-value and high-impact outcomes for the Qantas Group.
- Drive the creation of content.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Collaboratively develop solutions that assist senior management in making significant strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of full-time professional experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, investment bank, or in-house corporate strategy function.
- Strong strategy toolkit with outstanding problem-solving, analytical, communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
- Experience and exposure to a broad range of industries and complex strategic topics.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Highly structured style and results-oriented approach.
- Intellectual capability to quickly understand and apply new concepts and think laterally.
- Proven ability to create high-quality quantitative analysis and written materials for presentation to senior management and ExCo.
- Sound organizational skills with an ability to prioritize conflicting tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- High level of commitment and professionalism.
- Strong interest in the airline industry and a desire to gain knowledge and experience across a variety of Qantas Group businesses.
- Desire to work in and contribute to a diverse, collaborative, high-performing, and social team environment.
- Right to work in Australia / New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship.
