Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Retirement Solutions in developing specialised retirement solutions aligned with AMP’s Retirement Income Strategy.
  • Develop retirement products that maximise income and reduce risks for retirees.
  • Create tools, marketing, and collateral to help members understand the benefits of retirement solutions.
  • Provide training, information, and tools for advisers to help them deliver better retirement outcomes for their clients.
  • Lead the development and management of projection modelling calculators and tools for members and advisers.
  • Assist in the development of business cases for stakeholder support.
  • Support the technical and operational build of retirement solutions by leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure new products, systems, and processes are robustly managed within the business.
  • Manage existing retirement solutions to achieve volume and profitability targets within risk appetite.
  • Assist in managing relationships with key retirement partners, such as insurers.
  • Ensure compliance of the Retirement Solutions portfolio with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage risks and incidents expertly and swiftly.
  • Liaise with distribution partners to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in sales effort, product design, process improvements, and communications.

Requirements

  • Typically 3+ years' experience in product management, retirement solutions, actuarial, strategy, financial services, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capability, including interpreting modelling outputs, assessing member outcomes, evaluating product performance, and translating complex analysis into commercial recommendations.
  • Experience using data, modelling, and insights to support product design, pricing, proposition development, and strategic decision-making, particularly in retirement and investment solutions.
  • Solid understanding of retirement income products, member needs, and retirement income strategies, including emerging approaches and industry developments.
  • Deep appreciation of member behaviour and engagement, with the ability to apply customer insights to improve product outcomes and experiences.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory, legislative, and compliance environment within financial services and retirement income.
  • Proven project delivery experience across Agile and Waterfall environments, including requirements definition, business case development, testing, implementation, and go-to-market execution.
  • Ability to build and influence relationships across product, distribution, technology, operations, risk, legal, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distil complex technical concepts, modelling outcomes, and strategic recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptability to transition between business-as-usual and ambiguous situations.
  • Commitment, grit, and a growth mindset.
  • Willingness to take initiative and deliver across a variety of areas.
  • Ability to hold one's own and contribute independently.
