About the Role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto is seeking an Advisor, Postgraduate Education and Program Development. This is a department-wide educational leadership position that plays a crucial role in supporting the success of the Department's postgraduate residency programs. The Advisor will provide leadership in program director development, accreditation readiness, curriculum and assessment practices, continuous quality improvement, and the implementation of shared postgraduate education priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in Program Director development.
Ensure accreditation readiness.
Oversee curriculum and assessment practices.
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Implement shared postgraduate education priorities across the Department.

Requirements

Eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
Successful completion of the Continuing Faculty Appointment Review (CFAR).
Hold an MD degree.
Certified by, or eligible for certification with, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Eligible for licensure in Ontario.
Respected clinician educator with demonstrated leadership in postgraduate medical education.
Experience as a Residency Program Director or other significant educational leadership role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build collaborative relationships across programs and institutions.
Strong understanding of Royal College accreditation standards.
Strong understanding of competency-based medical education.
Strong understanding of curriculum development.
Strong understanding of assessment practices.
Strong understanding of program quality improvement.
