About the Role
This clinical rotation prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students for ambulatory care settings, offering acute and chronic care to patients 18 months and older (24 months and older in MA). The program provides specialized online training, patient interaction, EMR visibility, and exposure to a unique healthcare model. Students will gain practical education in clinic operations, insurance procedures, and evidence-based guidelines, understanding the role of MinuteClinic within the broader healthcare structure and its corporate support.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute and chronic care to patients 18 months and older (24 months and older in MA).
- Offer women's health exams, sports physicals, and camp physicals.
- Gain exposure in an ambulatory care setting.
- Develop an understanding of how MinuteClinic fits into the current structure of health care delivery.
- Understand how the corporate office relates to and supports the clinical practice.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a Family Nurse Practitioner program with an executed Affiliation Agreement with MinuteClinic.
- Must have an RN license in the state of precepting.
- Must have at least one year of RN experience (outside of school-required clinicals).
- CV will be required to submit with the survey.
- Clinical rotation hours must be between 50 and 240 hours.
- Clinical dates must be between 12/4/26 - 5/28/27.
