About the Role

As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you to manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all anesthesia equipment.
  • Manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use.
  • Calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use.
  • Assist with procedures as assigned.
  • Stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom.
  • Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory.
  • Ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies.
  • Complete monthly pharmacy inspections.

Requirements

  • M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
  • Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee’s physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
