About the Role

Marshalls is seeking individuals to maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The role also involves adhering to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, and being cross-trained to support various store needs.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer
Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
Dust and spot clean glass and windows
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store
Model customer experience practices
Support and embody a positive store culture
Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store
Adhere to company policies concerning Health and Safety
Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs
Adhere to and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Initiate and participate in store recovery
Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates
Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
Able to work a flexible schedule
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
Capable of multi-tasking
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
Strong communication skills: verbal and written
Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation

Retail customer experience preferred
