About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director - Data Distribution and Insights to lead our Data Service Canada team within the Data Distribution function. This role will oversee the strategy, delivery, and evolution of enterprise data ingestion, storage, and consumption solutions supporting multiple business lines and consumption patterns. The Director will also drive AI-led development practices and modern SDLC methodologies to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product roadmaps introducing new data consumption patterns and technology solutions
  • Drive technology evolution and innovation across the data platform ecosystem
  • Conduct and oversee proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate new products and processes
  • Drive AI-led development initiatives to enhance team productivity and solution quality
  • Lead multiple squads in delivering enterprise data ingestion, storage, and consumption projects
  • Align team delivery to operational and analytical AI strategy across WMC and related business lines
  • Manage regulatory, compliance project and program deliverables
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Integrate AI-driven tools and methodologies into the team's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Establish and track AI SDLC practices including code generation, testing automation, and intelligent deployment
  • Drive adoption of AI-enhanced development processes to improve delivery velocity and code quality
  • Monitor and measure AI integration effectiveness across the team
  • Establish and manage vulnerability management structure and operational models
  • Ensure alignment with data security and compliance governance frameworks
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in existing development solutions
  • Embed security best practices within AI-led SDLC processes
  • Oversee adoption and progression of data strategy aligned with WMC strategy and stakeholder needs
  • Drive batch-based data consumption patterns across WMC teams
  • Manage platform technologies including SilverCore, Snowflake, and Batch Ingestion/Consumption Framework
  • Lead technical architecture decisions supporting AI and modern development practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years in software development, with 3 years in director-level or equivalent leadership roles leading technical organizations through significant changes.
  • Experience managing multiple technology stacks, platforms, and specialized teams.
  • Proven success with technology transformation initiatives (modernization, tooling, processes, culture).
  • Experience establishing and maintaining strong business-technology partnerships; demonstrated success influencing without direct authority.
  • Exposure to Gen AI opportunities and DevOps practices (hands-on experience preferred).
