About the Role
Eaton’s Power Systems Division is seeking an Station Class Assembler to join our team in Olean, NY. This role performs various production tasks for station class arrestor product lines, maintaining quality, production, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, comply with JSA’s, wear proper PPE, and comply with the production attire policy.
- Ensure work cell equipment is safe and poses no risk to coworkers or self.
- Identify and report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor or manager.
- Conduct general cleaning of shop areas and maintain personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility.
- Execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to the production of station class arrestor product lines according to OMS/standard work.
- Be fully trained on all operations within the Station Class Department, including stack blocks, sulphur cement, final assembly, pack, and testing.
- Utilize tools including hoists, sulphur pouring equipment, and various air and hand tools.
- Assist elsewhere based on production needs.
- Maintain quality standards consistent with Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy.
- Visually inspect components and products.
- Take ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues.
- Notify the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality.
- Work in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells as needed.
- Perform assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations.
Requirements
- Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of work location will be considered (Active Duty Military Service members are exempt).

- Be able to read/understand measurements/measurement devices (ruler, fractions).
- Ability to communicate problems in product or quality to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely.
