About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive professional to join our Data team as a Team Coordinator & Delivery Governance Lead on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This pivotal role involves coordinating and leading the governance framework for our Data portfolio, ensuring transparency, control, and confidence in the delivery of strategic and operational initiatives. You will play a hands-on role in governance, financial management, planning, RAID leadership, change control, and executive reporting, working closely with Data leaders, technology stakeholders, delivery teams, and business partners. Your responsibilities will extend beyond reporting to actively enabling delivery by identifying risks, removing roadblocks, driving accountability, and ensuring timely decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive governance, planning, and reporting rhythms for clear leader visibility and confidence across the Data portfolio.
  • Partner with Data leaders and delivery teams to proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery roadblocks.
  • Provide robust financial oversight through forecasting, budget management, and investment planning.
  • Influence prioritisation and change decisions by assessing delivery impacts, financial implications, and strategic alignment.
  • Deliver concise, executive-level insights and reporting for effective governance and decision-making.
  • Continuously improve governance frameworks, processes, and ways of working, balancing controls with delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within Portfolio Governance, PMO, Delivery Management, or similar roles in complex Data, Technology, Digital, or Transformation environments.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate independently, solve problems, and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and investment planning.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, schedules, and change governance across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and facilitating governance forums.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • A practical understanding of project and portfolio delivery lifecycles, governance disciplines, and execution challenges.
  • Experience working within Data, Analytics, Technology, or enterprise transformation functions is highly regarded.
  • Must provide two references before commencing employment.
  • Must have full working rights.
  • Must complete police and credit checks through an online provider before commencing employment.
